Being a woman

The teacher queried the teenage girl.
And this questioning was prompted by the girl commenting on how unfair it was that boys could do certain things but girls could not.
On the surface of it the school girl certainly appeared correct, with honour killings in various countries, genital mutilation being practiced in others and the demand by some for a woman to

be covered by cloth from head to foot at all times while in public.
The Christian church too has been quick to allow our women to go overseas as leaders onto the mission field but at times slow to allow them meaningful leadership back at home.
The glass ceiling of the corporate world and the wage lag is often talked aboutin the Western culture.
But how did Christ deal with woman?
We see it in his respect for His mother, firstly at the wedding (John2) then the care and concern displayed for her while on the cross (John19)
He gave generous time to the lady who interrupted his visit to Jairus' house (Luke 8).
Jesus loved Mary & Martha (John11).
He stood up for that woman caught in adultery (John 8), and had no shame being seen in public with the Samaritan woman (John 4) alongside Jacobs well and what was it about Jesus which allowed a fallen woman to cry at His feet (Luke7) then proceeded to dry them with her long hair
The world is yet to hear the full impact of godly women within our communities
Oh and by the way, what was the gender of that person who saw the risen Christ first?
