Mobile Mission Maintenance (MMM) had their genesis in Melbourne back in the 1970s
Bill & Rae Johnson decided to travel the outback laden with a huge van full of anything hardware
It was a Mitre 10 on wheels
They went from mission station to mission station, and on their return spoke of the

overwhelming gratitude expressed by the missionaries who had their buildings repaired for free
From there a seed took root amongst the Dawson Plumbing firm and close friends so MMM was born
I remember the first home which was built and given to the Aboriginal work
Since then MMM has spread across Australia, into New Zealand and Fiji, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Africa and Zambia
I am sure Bill and Rae would not had imagined all which has grown from their enthusiasm to help others in such practical ways
Such a large tree has grown from such a small seed
When God is in something, the wise never despise a small beginning (Zechariah 4v10)
The same can be said of the Christian gospel – from such a small beginning it has grown to encompass the entire globe and in the doing has changed the lives of countless millions upon millions
