In Jesus God moved into our neighborhood
God’s desire to mingle with His creation is easiest seen December 25 Nothing was going to keep Him away from us any longer Thus is His love The humblest of timber structures, an animal feeding trough was all that could be found to lay the newborn babe No midwife, no supporting nursing staff, no oxygen, no pain relief and certainly no germ free environment He came anyway He was unstoppable, Even though the political situation was hostile And the religious setting stifling His mother so young and inexperienced And a step-father of no influence beyond his own house Still He came Why you may ask Because in Jesus God moved into our neighborhood Right on to our street And is now knocking on the front door This Christmas let’s open the door even wider Keeping it open For Him All year
